My Story

Here's what took place:

I was skin and bones. I had trouble with simple things such as

walking and holding up my head. My stomach extended out from

my weak frame like a 9-month pregnant woman. My stomach was hard and skin tight. The skin was stretched to its limits because I had ascites. Originally, it was thought that maybe I had liver failure and would need a liver transplant.

My doctors wanted to get the pressure off my organs and learn more about what was exactly going on. They numbed a spot on my stomach and stuck the syringe into my belly to extract the fluid. It was not clear as anticipated but rather I was bleeding internally somewhere. It was urgent to find out where right away. To make matters worse...
